Instant Markup gets way better in iOS 12

Instant Markup gets way better in iOS 12

iOS 12 does not really have huge new standout features. It’s rather a collection of really solid improvements for iOS 11. It seems odd to say that my new favorite feature is Do not disturb during bedtime, but that made a big difference in the way I use my iPhone.

Likewise with today ‘s Pro Tip. The markup for screenshots, PDFs, and photos was already good, but new options for pen tools make it great.

The same is true for highlighter and pencil tools:

Here is the new pen in the iOS 12 markup tools. It’s just like the old pen, only now when you tap it, you can choose from five different tip sizes and a slider. opacity. This means that the pen tool can become a fat, translucent highlighter or a thin and hard fine lines.
The same is true for highlighter and pencil tools:

These new tools also allow you to access the drawing tools of the Notes application. If you have an Apple Pencil, you probably like the Notes application because it is the fastest drawing application on the iPad. It has a very low latency, which gives the impression that you really draw with a pen on paper. Now, with custom opacity and different thicknesses, it’s a full-fledged drawing application.
Colors

Finally, Markup gets a color picker. You are no longer limited to just four colors, plus black and white. Now there is an extra circle at the end of the color section. Touch it, and you see a color picker with a sample grid of 12 × 10. Choose one of these, for any tool – highlighter, pen or pencil.

120 new colors and shades to choose from!

As I said, it’s a small change, but a big change in terms of impact on your use of Markup. And that’s the case with just about everything in iOS 12. For example, have you ever run a beta version of iOS that made your iPhone and iPad work? faster? It’s iOS 12.
